School closed to Yr8 & 9 students on Wednesday 18th March

Tomorrow we will be closed for both Year 9 and Year 8 students because we know we will have even fewer teachers in school tomorrow. Closing for particular year groups allows us to re-deploy teachers of those year groups to help keep Year 10 and 11 at school and studying for their GCSEs. We will try to keep Year 7 here too, as we know some of you work in healthcare and would probably not want to leave your Year 7 child on their own at home.

However, if we close the school to a year group which your child is in, but you have emergency childcare issues, you may still send your child to school. They need to report to the main reception and we will take care of them until the end of the school day at 2.50pm. We will put together something for them to do for the day but they will obviously not have ‘normal’ lessons.
