If you are reporting your child absent, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone the main school line on 01722 328565 option 1 to leave a message. Please state your child’s name, tutor group and reason for his absence along with a contact number. This should be supported with a letter to the school upon their return.
Good attendance is essential if your child is to make the most of his abilities and perform well in examinations. Parents/carers are legally obliged to make sure their child attends school regularly. The implication of taking your child out of school for a holiday during term time could lead to a £60 fine per child per person with parental responsibility.
How can Parent/carers help?
Please telephone the school as early as possible every day your son is absent or late
- Send a note with your child on his return.
- Please do not make any non-urgent medical appointments during the school day.
- In order for your child to achieve his full potential, do not take any holidays during term time.
If you have any queries concerning your child’s attendance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Every School Day Counts
Days off school add up to lost learning. Please don’t let your children miss out on the education they deserve.
Good Time Keeping
Good time keeping means making sure your child is at school on time ready to learn.
Did you know?
Students will have to attend a 30 minute after school detention should they arrive late 3 times in 1 term.
Being 15 minutes late each day is the same as missing two weeks of school each academic year.
