If you are reporting your son absent from school, please call the main school line 01722 500700 and select option 0. Please state your son’s name, tutor group and reason for his absence along with a contact number. This should be supported with a letter to the school upon his return.
Good attendance is essential if your son is to make the most of his abilities and perform well in examinations. Parents/carers are legally obliged to make sure their son attends College regularly. The implication of taking your child out of school for a holiday during term time could lead to a £60 fine per child per person with parental responsibility.
How can Parent/carers help?
Please telephone the College as early as possible every day your son is absent or late
- Send a note with your son on his return to College
- Please do not make any non-urgent medical appointments during the College day
- In order for your son to achieve his full potential, do not take any holidays during term time.
If you have any queries concerning your son’s attendance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Every School Day Counts
Days off school add up to lost learning. Please don’t let your children miss out on the education they deserve.
Good Time Keeping
Good time keeping means making sure your child is at school on time ready to learn.
Did you know?
Students will have to attend a 30 minute after school detention should they arrive late 3 times in 1 term.
Being 15 minutes late each day is the same as missing two weeks of school.
