2019 was an exceptional year for the students of Wyvern College. Our students achieved an excellent estimated overall Progress 8 score of 0.09 which is above the national average and significantly above the national average for boys. The estimated progress of our ‘most able’ students was also excellent; they achieved an estimated Progress 8 score of 0.3! We were especially pleased by the results gained by students in Maths and Science. The average Maths Progress 8 score (estimated) was 0.398 and in Science we estimate that students are progressing significantly above the national average. Almost 50% of our students achieved grades 9-5 in both their Science GCSEs, placing us in the top 20% of schools nationally for the grades students have attained in Science.
