Emergency School Closure (Including severe weather)

While every attempt is made to ensure that the schools remain open, parents and carers must be aware that in exceptional circumstances it may be necessary for the Wyvern St Edmund’s Learning Campus to either close early or give notice that the school will not open that day (and potentially subsequent days).

We aim, when circumstances allow, to publicise any closure by 7am, on the day of closure on our website, Twitter and Facebook accounts as well as informing Spire FM.

Information about our school closure policy can be found here.

Archived information about school closures:

Friday 1st February 2019: “We regret to inform you that we have had to take the decision to CLOSE the schools on the Wyvern St Edmund’s Learning Campus today (Friday 1st February). The unique nature of the Laverstock site and its fire escape routes will be impossible to clear in time for opening. We are also very concerned about the forecast for heavy snow later on this morning which could make journeys to and from school dangerous.”
